Klipsch

Paul W. Klipsch was a maverick, a certified genius, and an evangelist for a different kind of sound. While others were building inefficient speakers that required huge, hot amplifiers, Klipsch was perfecting the art of the horn. His philosophy was built on four pillars: high efficiency, low distortion, controlled directivity, and wide dynamic range. He wasn't trying to create polite background music; he was trying to recreate the physical, emotional impact of a live orchestra in a living room.

The Klipsch "house sound" is the direct result of that philosophy. It is unapologetically dynamic, immediate, and alive. A horn acts as an acoustic megaphone, taking a tiny amount of power and turning it into a massive sound. This efficiency means the amplifier barely has to work, resulting in a sound of startling clarity and effortless power. To its fans, the Klipsch sound is the sound of "live" music. To its detractors, the horns can sound sharp or "brittle." But no one can deny that the Klipsch sound is a thrilling, front-row experience.

Klipschorn

The legend. A massive, fully horn-loaded speaker designed to be placed in a corner, using the room itself as part of the horn.

La Scala

Originally built for the stage, the La Scala delivers the same raw, high-efficiency sound as its bigger sibling in a more industrial package.

Heresy

The "compact" rebel. Named because it was a "heresy" to abandon the corner-horn design, it still delivers that classic Klipsch dynamism.
